Reward for Man Wanted in Two Northwest Philadelphia Fast Food Robberies

The Citizen’s Crime Commission is offering a cash reward for information involving a man wanted in two fast food robberies in Northwest Philadelphia.

The suspect entered a Wendy’s on the 5500 block of Wayne Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. August 16. He put a black knit ski cap over his face and walked to the cash register, pointed a handgun at the employee’s stomach and took an undetermined amount of money from the register, fleeing eastbound on the 100 block of W. Maplewood Street.

Two days later, shortly before 3 a.m., a man of the same description smashed the drive-thru window of a McDonald’s on the 2200 block of Stenton Avenue and climbed through the window. He walked towards the office at the rear of the store armed with a small handgun, but retreated and exited through the drive-thru window without taking anything.

The suspect is described as a 5’10” to 6″ bald black man in his early 30s with a thin, muscular build, multiple tattoos on both arms and some facial hair. In the first incident, he was wearing a white t-shirt and khakis; in the second, he was wearing blue jeans, tan work boots and a blue sweatsuit jacket with a red and white stripe down both sleeves.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Citizen’s Crime Commission at 215-546-TIPS (8477) or the Philadelphia Police Department at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
