SEPTA, for the second time this year, is ending ticket sales at certain Regional Rail stations.
Now that riders can use Key cards or pay with cash or credit aboard the train, there is less demand for in-person ticket offices, transit officials said.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 20, tickets will no longer be sold at the Elkins Park, Fort Washington, Hatboro, Langhorne, Lansdowne, Manayunk, Queen Lane, Secane, Swarthmore and Wyndmoor stations.
Riders with Key, Reduced Fare, Senior and CCT cards will still be able to scan in to enter stations for seating, restrooms and other amenities during normal operating hours, according to SEPTA.
Back in February, the authority discontinued ticket sales at 14 Regional Rail stations.
