SEPTA is offering a cash reward for information on a woman who allegedly brandished a small knife and threatened a Broad Street Line cashier on Wednesday morning.
The woman, who is seen in a surveillance image with a bicycle, stepped over the turnstile at around 6:40 a.m. inside the Girard Station in North Philadelphia, according to the authority.
When the cashier told her to pay her fare, she pulled out a pocketknife and said she could slash the tires of the employee’s car, SEPTA officials said. The suspect then got on a northbound train.
Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call transit police at 215-580-8111. SEPTA is offering a $1,000 reward for help identifying the suspect.
