SEPTA has resumed Regional Rail service today, with some minor delays following disruptions from Hurricane Sandy.
All Regional Rail lines are running on a regular Wednesday schedule, but SEPTA said there are some residual delays and riders should allow extra time for their commute.
Service on the West Trenton line and the Lansdale/Doylestown lines are experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes, and a few trains were canceled on the airport line. SEPTA said the Trenton line is on or close to schedule after some delays earlier this morning.
SEPTA resumed service to subways, trolleys, buses, the Norristown High Speed Line and the Route 102 Media-Sharon Hill Line at noon on Tuesday. Some bus routes in the city and the suburbs are still unable to run because of road conditions. The Route 101 Media line is running to Woodland Avenue with shuttle bus service between Woodland Avenue and Media.
While there was little flooding reported in the city, winds knocked down some trees, causing damage to power lines and catenary wires on the Regional Rail lines, officials said. Crews, including some third-party contractors, worked around the clock to make necessary repairs.
