After a video surfaced on social media of an altercationbetween a driver and a passenger, SEPTA has suspended the driver in question, reportedNBC10.
In the video, a male driver is seen approaching and throwing water on a female passenger, explained 6ABC. The incident occurred in Olneyon the transit authority’s 57 bus around Rising Sun and Duncannonavenues on Friday.

One of the most popular bus routes, the 57 takes passengers to the Whitman Plaza shopping center in South Philadelphia all the way to Fern Rock Transportation Center in North Philadelphia.

The Inquirer reported that, following a preliminary investigation into the “dousing, hitting incident,” SEPTA has suspended the driver in the video “without pay.”
Speaking with NBC10, SEPTA Transit Police Chief Thomas Nestelsaid authorities believe the conflict started with a fare evasion and escalated from there.
