The befuddling addition of Dan Deacon as an opener for Miley Cyrus’s tour with Her Dead Petz — better known as rock band The Flaming Lips — strangely helps make some sense of her long, public transformation. Known for his electronic dance music, Deacon gives Miley some cred and amplifies her party-starting persona. This show is officially sold out, so you’ll have to go the resale route. The relentlessly touring and Grammy Award–winning Rebirth Brass Band is an explosive party brought to you by an awe-inspiring wall of sound. Atlanta’s Deerhunter is in town supporting their October release “Fading Frontier,” an entry both laconic and restless, lush and angular — the album of a band in a dreamy transition. Frontman Bradford Cox opens with his pared down solo act, Atlas Sound, a headliner in itself. RELATED:Shop local at holiday markets popping up all over Philadelphia Coming up next:
