Sister kills brother with minivan: Delaware police

A Delaware teen is charged with running over her brother with a minivan, killing him.

A Delaware teen is charged with manslaughter after she allegedly ran her brother down with a minivan and dragged him for more than 100 feet before stopping and fleeing the scene on foot Tuesday afternoon in Elsmere, New Castle County.

Police say Sheila Martinez-Rodriguez had an argument withher brother, Jesus Martinez, that turned physical outside their home just before the fatal accident, which happened about 1 p.m. on Tamarack Avenue, NBC10 reports.

Martinez-Rodriguez, 19, is facing several charges, including manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

Martinez, 18, died from his injuries at Christiana Hospital, where he was taken by Delaware State Police medevac helicopter.
