Six people were shot in the space of just over 12 hours this weekend in Philadelphia.
The violence touched off Friday, when a man was shot shortly before 4 p.m. in South Philadelphia.
Officers found the victim, 18, on the 500 block of McClellan Street.
He had been shot in the left ankle and was treated and released from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
The victim told investigators he was walking on the 1800 block of South 5th Street when a man riding a bicycle opened fire on him from the corner of 5th and Siegel streets.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie and mask and riding his bicycle south on 4th Street toward Snyder Avenue.
A man was injured around 9 p.m. during a shooting near 11th and Huntingdon streets in the Hartranft section of North Philadelphia.
Investigators said the victim, 25, was shot once each in the right and left thigh and left hand.
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
Just two hours later, Daniel Cooke, 27, of Williamstown, N.J., was shot and killed in West Oak Lane after responding to a Craigslist post advertising an ATV for sale.
Police on Sunday announced the arrest of 23-year-old Willow Grove man Thomas Coffee in connection with the crime.
A 31-year-old man was shot in both legs around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the Harrowgate section of Kensington.
He was hospitalized in stable condition.
A little over two hours after that, a 19-year-old man was wounded in an unrelated shooting on the 1000 block of West Godfrey Avenue in Fern Rock.
Police said he was shot twice in the left arm and once each in the back and chest.
He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center by private auto, where he was placed in critical condition.
A 48-year-old man was shot once in the back shortly after 5:15 a.m. Saturday on the 1000 block of West Tioga Street in Franklinville.
He was in critical condition Sunday at Temple University Hospital.
No arrests have yet been made in the majority of this weekend’s shootings.
