The Sixers continue to boost marketing efforts as the regular season draws closer.
The team announced a new publicity stunt Monday, which allows the first 76 fans who purchase single-game tickets to get their names on a billboard. Tickets go on sale Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. The season opener is slated for Oct. 30 at the Wells Fargo Center against the defending champion Miami Heat.
“As the Sixers wrap up their trip to Europe and head back to Philadelphia to prepare for opening night, we recognize the integral role fans play in creating our home-court advantage at the Wells Fargo Center,” said Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil. “We take building together literally — fan by fan, game by game — and hope these billboards begin to show our appreciation and support for Sixers fans in a memorable way.”
The personalized billboards will be rotated, along with other Sixers advertisements, throughout the week. Each fan will receive a photo of the actual billboard. Tickets can be purchased at Sixers.com or by phone at 215-339-7676, or in person at the Wells Fargo Center box office.
