Sixers start from scratch

Coming into this season, the Sixers said they had a plan. Then the games started, and that plan was quickly scrapped.

The Princeton offense was abandoned, Elton Brand was benched, Allen Iverson was signed and dumped, the coach was essentially fired before the season was over. There was no direction, no guidance, no signs that management knew how to fix this thing.

Now, they are set to start over. Eddie Jordan will be officially fired shortly. Ed Stefanski is teetering on thin ice and Larry Brown is rumored to be lurking in the on-deck circle.

As we head into the offseason, 2009-10 will go down as yet another step in the wrong direction for the city’s most irrelevant franchise.
