SNACKTIME to celebrate debut album at Brooklyn Bowl in Fishtown

SNACKTIME was launched during the pandemic and since then has created a revered reputation for itself as a brass-heavy band with funk, punk, jazz, pop and R&B influences. This weekend marks an extra special occasion for the group with the debut of their first album, ‘Sounds From The Street: Live!’

The 10-track recording is said to feature mood-enhancing musical compilations bringing the SNACKTIME experience to a wider audience. And Philadelphians can take part in the experience themselves with an album launch and release party on Friday, July 15, at the Brooklyn Bowl in Fishtown. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., the celebration will  feature live performances from electrosoul staple Max Swan, PHL LIVE Center Stage finalist Taylor Kelly, and DJ Xtina.

“Our goal with this album is to share the party we’ve been having here in Philly with the rest of the world,” said band leader / co-founder musician Sam Gellerstein in a statement. “Everything you’re hearing on the album is improvised, live from the streets, and tells the story of who we are at our core. We’re a band for a hurting city. We’re a band to celebrate with.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at Ticketweb.com. Music-enthusiasts near and far can stream the album on all popular streaming platforms, including Spotify beginning this Friday
