In honor of National Teacher Month, SoBol Philly, located at 46 S. 17th St., will be giving away free coffee as well as a 50% off discount on all acai bowls to teachers who come into the store today.
The special offer will be available from open until close on Monday, May 21. Teachers must bring a valid I.D. to receive 50% off any acai or pitaya bowl, in addition to free coffee from Philly Fair Trade Roasters.
“We celebrated nurses earlier this month, and now we want to celebrate teachers, who do so much for our children and for the community,” says SoBol Co-owner Dan Nestor in a press release. “Philadelphia has welcomed us with open arms in such an incredible way since we opened in early April, and this is just one of our many ways of trying to give back.”
The acai bowls come in three different sizes: $5.95 for kids, $8.50 for regular bowls and $12.95 for super bowls, which can be shared between two to three adults.
Each bowl features frozen acai berries, strawberries, bananas and a little of soy milk that’s blended to make a thick fruit puree, which lies between two layers of granola that’s topped with blueberries, bananas, strawberries, a coconut sprinkle and honey.
The pitaya bowls are priced a little higher at $6.95, $9.50 and $14.95 for the different sizes. They also contain granola, but with a pitaya puree that’s topped with mango, kiwi, pineapple, coconut sprinkles and honey — a slightly more tropical take on their acai bowl.
