The Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery welcomed ghouls and ghosts to the annual Gravediggers’ Ball fundraising gala, which was held Friday night at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Founded in 1836, Laurel Hill is the first cemetery in the United States to become a National Historic Landmark. West Laurel Hill, established in 1869, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
