Another game week for the Philadelphia Eagles brings another week of questions and speculation surrounding their top wide receiver in A.J. Brown and his happiness in the City of Brotherly Love.

In an appearance on JankyRondo’s Madden stream on Twitch, while the two were playing a game, the wide receiver made some eyebrow raising comments when asked how he was doing.

“I mean, no. Where have you been?” Brown candidly responded.

“Like family’s good but everything else? No. It’s a s— show.”

Later on in the conversation, Brown offered advice for fantasy football managers.

“If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me.”

It was not a memorable night on the field for Brown who hauled in just two catches for 13 yards on three total targets. That is good for just 3.3 points in point per reception formats in fantasy football leagues for anyone wondering. The three targets were the fewest since the season opener against Dallas when he caught his only target for eight yards in a 24-20 win.

It marked the third time in eight games this season that Brown had two catches or less for less than 15 yards. In Week 1, Week 4 against Tampa Bay where he had two catches on nine targets for seven yards and most recently in Monday’s win.

In his previous 52 games as an Eagle, that only occurred five times.

On the season, Brown has 31 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns.

The quiet performance comes after Brown missed the game against the Giants in Week 8 to nurse a hamstring injury that caused him to miss time during the preseason and training camp.

After Monday’s game, Brown appeared to be in good spirits and spoke with the media about the offense not performing to expectation.

“I wouldn’t say it’s about being happy or frustrated. I think it’s just coming to work with the mindset of getting better and that’s what we have to do,” Brown said.

Sirianni tired of answering questions regarding Brown

On Wednesday, Nick Sirianni was not in as good of a mood as a head coach typically would be after a big conference road win. He had a few back and forth’s with reporters, specifically when it came to questions regarding Brown.

“Guys, I’m close to being done answering questions about this. He’s working hard and he is a big part of the gameplan, and will be going forward. He’s working like crazy and we’re excited to have him,” Sirianni said at the podium at the NovaCare Complex.

Earlier when asked about if Brown’s comments this week are a distraction.

“No, I don’t think so. You can only go off your interactions and how they go about their work on a daily basis which you guys aren’t able to see. No, it’s business as usual,” the head coach said.

This is not the first time this season or during his tenure that Brown has turned to public forums whether it is social media, live streams or even in front of his locker where he has made comments regarding his frustration with his involvement in the offense.

The Eagles will need a much better offensive showing come Sunday night at home when they welcome in the Detroit Lions, the second-highest scoring offense in the NFL, to Lincoln Financial Field for another marquee NFC clash.
