Arborlea Tennis Club is a private tennis club with three outdoor red clay courts. Located on Oak Avenue in the Arborlea section of Morrisville, Arborlea Tennis Club offers a welcoming and active environment for tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels. The club has a long history in Bucks County, having been established in the 1930s, and opening its courts ever since.
Clay is a wonderful surface for playing tennis. The softer surface reduces physical strain on the knees, ankles, and back. Sliding movements on clay helps develop better dynamic balance, stability on the run, and overall lower body coordination. The slower pace of the game and higher ball bounce lead to longer rallies and more extended matches, building strength, stamina and mental toughness.
The club prides itself on the care it dedicates to the red clay surface of the courts. A newly installed irrigation system helps to maintain optimal moisture levels, which keeps the courts firm, stable, and playable.
The courts open in early May and close in early November and are open seven days a week from sunup to sundown. Annual individual/family membership dues are very reasonable, and there are no additional per-play fees. Guests can be invited for a limited number of plays so that they can experience the benefits of playing on clay. The club is governed by volunteer officers and a board of directors.
Arborlea Tennis Club has become a go-to destination for residents in and around the Yardley, Newtown, and Morrisville areas who are looking to stay active, improve their game, and connect with fellow players.
