A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting Sunday night in the Carroll Park area of West Philadelphia, police said.
Officers found the teenager with gunshot wounds to his chest and right wrist at around 10 p.m. at the corner of Master and Allison Street, according to authorities. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and is expected to survive, law enforcement officials said.
No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the incident, and investigators said they are looking for two male suspects who were wearing all black clothing. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the PPD tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Through May 17, 21 youth under the age of 18 have been killed or injured in shootings this year, compared to 47 at the same time in 2025, according to the Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting’s dashboard.
