Following up an earlier report that the NFL was investigating Dunta Robinson's third-quarter hit on Jeremy Maclin ... the league just announced that it had fined the Falcons cornerback $40,000.Replays clearly showed Robinson leading with his helmet, although Falcons coach Mike Smith said he thought it was legal and added, "That's the way we teach it."Robinson certainly didn't expect a fine when asked about it Sunday night."I honestly do not expect to hear from Commissioner Goodell," Robinson said after the game. "I felt that it was a legal hit even though I was penalized in that instance."
