This fall, Curio Theatre Company is putting a hilariously twisted spin on Bram Stoker’s classic tale with 'Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors'. Written by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen and directed by Damien Figueras, this 90-minute show promises to turn the gothic horror we know and love into a nonforgettable evening of laughs.

Audiences can expect rapid-fire wordplay, outrageous physical comedy, and pop culture references that sneak in where you least expect them. With quick costume changes, gender-bending performances, and a delightfully campy approach, this production proves that even vampires aren’t immune to comedy. Curio promises a show that’s irresistible for audiences of all blood types. (However, this show is recommended for ages 13 and older due to mature humor.)

“We all know and love the story of Dracula, but I'm incredibly excited to bring this fresh, and hysterical, take on the classic story to Curio,” says director Damien Figueras. “In a time when the world around us might be a bit much to handle, there's nothing better than a night of fast-paced comedic entertainment. This production features 5 of the funniest actors in Philadelphia and I can't wait for audiences to be entertained by this hysterical take on the classic story.”

The talented cast includes Matt Carter, Emmie Parker, Riley Sheetz, Janine Silano, and Jack Taylor,  who collectively bring the over-the-top antics and clever twists to life on stage.

'Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors' is on stage now through Nov. 1 at Curio Theatre Company, 4740 Baltimore Ave. For information and tickets, visit curiotheatre.org
