Eli Stowers is the newest member invited to the nest of the Philadelphia Eagles after being selected with the 54th selection at the 2026 NFL Draft. Philadelphia adds a big-bodied (6-foot-3, 239 pounds) tight end to a TE room featuring Dallas Goedert (6-foot-5, 256 pounds), Grant Calcaterra (6-foot-4, 240 pounds), Johnny Mundt (6-foot-4, 245 pounds), and Stone Smartt (6-foot-4, 226 pounds).

Stowers, 23, arrives in Philly following two seasons at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He recorded 49 catches for 638 yards and five touchdowns during his junior season, his first with the Commodores. In his senior campaign this past season, Stowers caught 62 passes for 769 yards and four touchdowns.

He won the 2025 John Mackey Award, handed out to the Most Outstanding Tight End in college football, and was also selected as a consensus All-American for the only time in his college career. Stowers started his career as a Quarterback for Texas A&M and New Mexico State (366 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns), but he solidified his NFL future with the transition to full-time play at the TE spot at Vanderbilt.

The Eagles are next on the clock with two picks in the third round later tonight. The first selection at #68 comes via the Haason Reddick trade with the New York Jets in April 2024. The later pick in the second round is compensation for losing Milton Williams to the New England Patriots in free agency. It is the first of four compensatory picks the Eagles will select at the 2026 NFL Draft.
