Eagles fill vacant roster spot with a cornerback they cut two days ago

It's almost like the Eagles circle of life is complete. After parting ways with Ryan Mathews earlier today, the Eagles re-signed a cornerback they cut just two days ago.

The 26-year old was signed by the Eagles during the offseason and spent all of OTA's and Training Camp competing for a spot on the roster, culminating in a preseason performance that saw him have a relatively impressive game despite giving up a touchdown in the redzone.

White had 4 career interceptions in the CFL, with 3 coming in 2016, making 38 tackles in the process. All of this, despite missing the opening five games.

Formerly of Michigan State, White served primarily as a special teams ace during that period, before eventually landing in the NFL for a brief stint with the Oakland Raiders. After failing to make the roster, he found himself winning the Grey Cup with the Ottawa Redblacks.

The 5’11 corner is set to re-join the team after being waived just two days ago, and will pick up where he left off in the Eagles cornerback battle.
