Eagles Free Agency: 6 cornerbacks that could interest Philadelphia this offseason

The Eagles will look to solidify the cornerback position that is opposite of Quinyon Mitchel. Here are six options for Philly this offseason.

If the Eagles do not want to invest a high draft pick at the position. They need to stop the revolving door at CB2 by opening up the checkbook in free agency. Philadelphia has stars at one outside cornerback spot in Q and in the nickel with Cooper. They would love to add a second strong outside cornerback to their dynamic duo.

The Players

Jamel Dean, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dean would finally be the boundary corner that the Eagles could set and forget. He has consistently shut down receivers, created turnovers, and posted strong passer-ratings-allowed numbers in recent seasons. This is exactly the kind of reliability Philadelphia covets on the outside, but it comes at a price they likely do not want to pay.

Tariq Woolen, Seattle Seahawks
Despite an ill-advised, unsportsmanlike penalty in the National Football Conference Championship Game, he is likely a target for the Eagles. Woolen has shown game-altering traits since college. His size, speed, and knack for producing turnovers make him a dynamic and intriguing option opposite Quinyon Mitchell as the Eagles’ CB2. A Fangio defense could unlock the kind of high-level production his tape has always hinted at.

Asante Samuel Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers
Samuel showed flashes of the instincts and ball skills that made him a top prospect during a limited 2025 sample. Asante appears ready to compete for a starting role, and the Eagles could be a team that could bring out the best in him and benefit from buying low on a talent many had a first-round grade on coming out of college. He could be the low-risk addition Howie Roseman is looking for, bringing value as an outside corner.

Jaylen Watson, Kansas City Chiefs
Watson improved in coverage and became a reliable tackler over the last season. He may not have the ceiling of Dean or Woolen, but he could thrive in the right scheme and with coaching, and should be a player the Eagles could fit into their budget.

Rasul Douglas, Miami Dolphins
Douglas bounced back from a down year to show he still has a role at the next level. He won’t dramatically alter the defense, but he’s capable as a rotational piece and would be a strong depth insurance for the outside corners.

Nahshon Wright, Chicago Bears
Wright’s breakout season caught everyone’s attention, but he’s still a developmental project, in my opinion. Wright is an intriguing high-upside gamble, but would likely begin the summer as a depth piece while learning the system.
