Four trades, seven selections, and banked a 2027 5th round pick.
The Eagles added a heir apparent to RT for Lane Johnson, a wide receiver with elite traits and high upside, an edge rusher who can bring a lot of pressure and be a perennial 10–12 sacks a year player, a tight end who has the ability to be Dallas Goedert’s successor, a safety to pair with Druw Mukuba, a developmental offensive lineman with huge upside potential, and a day three DT who could out perform his draft selection like Moro Ojomo has before him.
Quite simply, Howie drafted for now and the next era of Eagles football.
Yes, right from the start. Howie is moving on down!
The Eagles trade the Jets' picks 23 and 68 for 33 and 44.
33- Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State
A big-framed, powerful tackle with untapped upside, he can develop into a starter while serving early as a swing tackle, or even as a guard early. He has a basketball background, and it shows up in his smooth footwork. Learning behind Johnson would be a big advantage for the OT who didn’t even play football in high school.
* If Monroe Freeling falls anywhere within reach, I would expect Roseman to try his best to move up to draft him. Blake Miller is another OT they are high on, and he could be the pick in this same scenario.
44- Chris Bell, WR, Louisville
A true X receiver frame, built like a running back with receiver movement skills. Sound like anyone we know? Chris Bell is a power receiver disguised as a playmaker. He wins with size, strength, and what happens after the catch, more than pure finesse. YAC monster, physical, explosive, enough juice to stress defenses vertically, and not afraid to go into traffic and take the hit over the middle. If not for a 2025 ACL injury, he could have been a top 20 pick. Howie takes the medical discount and the risk that comes with it.
The Eagles trade down again, this time with Tennessee moving pick 54 for 66 and 101.
66- Joshua Josephs, Edge, Tennessee
Josephs brings speed, bend, and a relentless motor, consistently setting the edge against the run while attacking from multiple angles as a pass rusher. He’s the type of versatile disruptor Philly values — someone who plays fast, physical, and with intent on every snap.
It was about time for Howie to implement the “double move.” The Eagles trade picks 98, 101, and 178 to Minnesota for 82, 163, and a 2027 5th-round selection.
82 Sam Roush, TE, Stanford
Combine testing confirmed the tape. Roush is an ascending player and is assignment-sound, tough, and reliable. He comes from a pro-style foundation and will bring physicality as a blocker. He has a good floor and a high ceiling.
The Eagles trade 114, 137, and 197 to Seattle for 96 and 188
96- Jalon Kilgore, S, South Carolina
At 6’1, 211 with 4.40 speed, Kilgore brings positional versatility, physicality, and ball skills, highlighted by 8 interceptions and elite tracking ability. He smothers receivers with length and strength, plays effectively in the box, and combines instincts, durability, and athleticism to project as an exciting Day 2 talent
163- Isaiah World, OT, Oregon
Isaiah World would have been long gone if not for sustaining a torn ACL in the college football playoffs against Indiana. He has the size, hands, lateral agility, and football IQ to thrive once healthy. His injury likely takes a year to recover from, but for a team that shouldn’t need a tackle or a new starting guard until 2027, he could be a fit.
188- Landon Robinson, DT, Navy
A player who should never have fallen this far in the draft lands in the Eagles' lap. With previous late-day three pick Moro Ojomo likely playing his last season with Philadelphia, after earning a big payday, Philadelphia takes a swing on another explosive interior disruptor who wins with leverage, twitch, and freak-level strength rather than size.
Roseman moved around the board, implemented his trade down and up signature draft day move, and focused on the trenches with 4 of the seven picks.
This draft is built to continue the success now and is wired for whatever's next. The Eagles didn’t just draft talent; they mapped out a succession plan at key positions.
