The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t expected to go on a spending spree this offseason, but that doesn’t mean they won’t make a flurry of moves to help keep this current roster competitive. With the legs tampering window officially set to open at 12pm today, here are some players and moves to keep an eye on.
Now that the Eagles have locked in Jordan Davis, their eyes have turned to their in-season acquisition from the Dolphins, Jaelan Phillips. Phillips may not have had the most eye-opening numbers, but his impact was felt instantly. The team's pass rush benefited greatly from his presence and their average sacks per game even went up a tick.
The Eagles have been focusing on getting a deal done with Phillips that will keep him in Philadelphia with a value above $20 million per year. On Sunday evening Ian Rapoport reported that the team is making progress in a deal to lock up their prized free agent.
If the Eagles can't lock up Jaelan Phillips then expect them to have interest in trading for Jonathan Greenard of the Vikings. He's 28 years old and has been made available by the Vikings after only playing in 12 games due to a season ending shoulder injury. Philly has already checked in on the Vikings' pass rusher.
As for their other prized free agents, we have received information that would strongly suggest the departures of both Nakobe Dean and Reed Blankenship. While the Eagles have told Dean to give them a chance if his market doesn’t truly develop, I would expect for the Cowboys to make a strong push for the either Nakobe Dean or Reed Blankenship. I wouldn't be surprised if they landed both of them.
With Christian Parker signing on as the Cowboys' new defensive coordinator, he'll be looking to make a strong first impression. He will be targeting Nakobe Dean to be the QB of that defense along with Reed Blankenship who could provide some familiarity for the first-time defensive coordinator. Either of those signings could be a big blow for the Eagles but nothing is set in stone just yet and things can change very quickly.
With Adoree Jackson likely gone even after his improvement down the stretch, Philly is focusing their eyes on several cornerbacks on the open market with one name standing out so far. That name being Super Bowl champion, Tariq Woolen. Quarterbacks already hate passing in the direction of Quinyon Mitchell. Signing Woolen would give them another reason to hesitate due to his good ball skills, size, and speed. The upside to signing him is that he is only 26 years old but the downside is that he may be a long shot due to money.
It will be interesting to see how they approach the CB2 position this offseason. They did have interet in Montaric Brown but as of Monday morning he re-signed with the Jaguars.
Mekhi Becton is another name being floated around when it comes to the Eagles. After a terrible year in Los Angeles, Becton was released and instantly linked to Philadelphia. However, it doesn’t look like the Eagles are as eager as Becton to reunite with one another. Philadelphia has several concerns regarding Becton but I do know Becton would love to come back to the place that helped rejuvenate his career. While nothing can ever be completely ruled out, this is where both parties stand at the moment.
The A.J. Brown rumors are not going away anytime soon especially if no one from Philadelphia proclaims that he’s not going anywhere. Which means that the Eagles are going to need a replacement if they move their WR1 but even if they don’t, this player could help expand their offense a bit with A.J. and DeVonta.
It’s expected that the Falcons will be moving on from Darnell Mooney and you can count on the Eagles having some interest there. Mooney had a tougher 2025 season despite putting up 992 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns in 2024. To be honest, not all of it was his fault with how odd things have gotten with the Falcons' offense. Even so, the Eagles could use a player with his speed and experience. He could really help open things up for Jalen Hurts and Sean Mannion.
