A tame 9-9-9 Challenge

Odds are if you are a sports fan, you have heard of the 9-9-9 Challenge. The premise is simple: eat nine hot dogs and drink nine beers within the nine innings of a baseball game. The Phillies and Aramark teamed up to bring the fabled challenge to Citizens Bank Park, just a bit tamer.

In what they are calling a “fan-friendly twist that still keeps the spirit of the challenge alive,” the Phillies will sell nine smaller servings of hot dogs and beer. The challenge, presented in a nice box, will be available at the South Philly Market in Section 128 for $54.99.

Red October Souvenir Items

Of course, when you factor in the new Red October merchandise, we have just reached the tip of the iceberg. There will be exclusive souvenir items, collectible souvenir cups, limited-edition can coolers, and a variety of other Red October and MLB postseason merchandise at Citizens Bank Park.

The National League Division Series will kick off later today at 6:38 p.m. Cristopher Sánchez will be on the mound for the Phillies facing off against Shohei Ohtani.
