Fun things to do in Philly this weekend: Pride edition

Posted

Philadelphia is diving headfirst into Pride Month with plenty of celebrations across the city, beginning with events this weekend and building toward Philly’s official Pride weekend on June 6 and 7.

From community panels and queer nightlife conversations to drag brunches, dance parties, workouts, and neighborhood markets, this year’s celebrations spotlight the many ways LGBTQ+ communities gather, connect, and show up for one another across the city.

PRIDE Panels

On Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m., the Night Life Equity Panel: “Where Are We Now?” at Franky Bradley’s will bring together voices from across the LGBTQIA+ nightlife community for a discussion on safety, accountability, sponsorship equity, and how nightlife spaces can better reinvest in the communities they serve. Then on Saturday, May 30, at 5:30 p.m., the Interfaith Pride Panel: Faith, Freedom & Belonging at St. Luke's Episcopal Church will feature LGBTQ+ faith leaders and queer-affirming clergy delving into spiritual belonging, healing from religious harm, and the evolving role of faith institutions in liberation-centered movements. Together, these events offer opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and connection.
