Clean Water Action’s Pennsylvania chapter yesterday endorsed three candidates in the at-large City Council May 17 election. The 36-year-old grassroots group, which claims to have 8,000 members who are registered voters in Philadelphia, chose to throw its support behind incumbents Blondell Reynolds-Brown and Wilson Goode Jr. and challenger Sherrie Cohen.“ were on the right side of all the issues,” said Eastern Pennsylvania Director Brady Russell. Deciding factors included the candidates’ stances on dredging, recycling and storm-water treatment. The three Democrats were the only at-large candidates to score 100 percent on a Clean Water Action-issued questionnaire.“We weren’t looking for Democrats in particular, but the Republicans didn’t convince us,” said Russell.
