7 spooky Halloween pop-ups to check out in Philly

Philadelphia is getting into the Halloween spirit with festive pop-ups taking over the city this fall.

From haunted cocktail bars to pumpkin patches and immersive Halloween experiences, these pop-ups are bringing the best of the spooky season to Philly this fall.

The Enchanted Nightmare at Craftsman Row Saloon

Craftsman Row Saloon’s Halloween Pop-Up this year has been dubbed "The Enchanted Nightmare." Open now, the space is decked out with floor-to-ceiling Halloween décor inspired by classic horror and Halloween movies, including thousands of twinkling lights, floating witches’ hats, cobwebs, skeletons, spiders and even a massive 20-foot-plus sandworm.

2026’s Halloween menu brings back fan favorites like the Vampire Burger, Boo-schetta, Spiderweb Chips & Guac and Spookghetti & Meatballs, alongside new creations like the Oktoberfest Burger, Pumpkin Sage Séance ravioli, Monster Tacos and a Candy Apple Turkey BLT. The bar is equally festive with sips like the Pumpkin Margarita, Witches Goblet and Fortune Teller’s Poison, plus playful shots (including one dubbed “Bobbing for a Bad Apple”).

And, of course, Craftsman Row has some over-the-top milkshakes included — guests can choose from the popcorn-and-candy-covered Scary Movie Night, fall-inspired Pumpkin To Talk About, candy-loaded Mad Scientist or boozy Caramel Apple Crypt. The Halloween takeover here runs through Oct. 31.

Haunted Mansion at Uptown Beer Garden

This time of year always gets haunted at Uptown. The massive outdoor space is once again decked out with spooky decor, plus locals can order up drinks like the Blood Bag Sangria (you can imagine what that will come served in), a smoking cauldron sipper, mixed shots (like the “Basic Witch” made with Absolut Vanilla, Bailey’s and pumpkin spice), seasonal drafts, non-alcoholic sippers and more.

Haunt at Bridget Foy’s

Haunt is returning to Bridget Foy’s for a second year, and bringing with it “a dark, theatrical Halloween drinking den” to South Street throughout the month of October. The immersive pop-up will blend candlelight and vintage-inspired décor with a themed bar menu full of specialty cocktails and seasonal brews.

Mixed spirits here include the Nosfera-Tini, made with Bloody Mary-infused vodka, pickle and olive brine; the Hell Hound, featuring tequila, hibiscus, lime and grapefruit soda with a black salt rim; and the Corpse Reviver Number You, made with vodka, dry sake, green apple, lemon and an absinthe rinse. There’s also the frozen Count Daiqula, the bourbon-based Shallow Grave, and a booze-free frozen Monster Mash topped with Halloween sprinkles. For beer and cider drinkers, the lineup includes pumpkin ale, black widow cider, dunkel and a non-alcoholic blackberry-apple cider.

Cityside Pumpkin Patch at Liberty Point

What’s the best way to enjoy a water-side pumpkin patch? With some cocktails and views of the Delaware River, of course.

Cityside Pumpkin Patch is opening back up for the season at Liberty Point. From Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, the immersive experience will house a fully operational pumpkin patch stocked with locally sourced pumpkins, plus spooky photo ops, carnival games, a ghost slingshot and a pumpkin-smashing zone. Guests can also pick up Halloween-themed treats and “potions” throughout the experience.

General admission starts at $13.90, and upgraded tickets start at $22.50. Sessions last two hours, with availability Wednesday evenings and Thursday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. The experience is open to guests of all ages (with a parent or legal guardian for kiddos in attendance).

Frankenstein’ Putt Putt: A Mad Scientist’s Cocktail Lab at Libertee Grounds

From Oct. 1 through Halloween, Philadelphians can head to ‘Frankenstein’s Putt Putt: A Mad Scientist’s Cocktail Lab’. The immersive experience at Libertee Grounds combines spooky-themed mini golf with “a mad-scientist cocktail adventure.” Tickets start around $20 and include a themed cocktail featuring Boardroom Spirits, nine holes of indoor mini golf and access to the immersive décor and photo ops.

The experience is open daily and guests under 21 are welcome before 8 p.m. Reservations are available through Resy.

The Pumpkin Press at Newsroom Philly

The Pumpkin Press is now open at Newsroom Philly. The six-week Halloween pop-up here is inspired by the legends of Sleepy Hollow and Edgar Allan Poe—which is definitely fitting given the venue’s proximity to the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site in Northern Liberties.

While here, Philadelphians can sip on the Headless Horseman (a smoky mezcal-based sipper), a Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned served over pumpkin-shaped ice, the shareable rum-based Raven’s Cauldron and much more.

‘The Secret of the Olympia’

This two-night 21+ experience will transform the historic Olympia warship into a 1920s-era mystery. Guests will begin with a psychological evaluation from the “doctors” of Arkham Asylum, which determines their character and role for the evening (like detective, journalist, or even an occult scholar), before receiving clues to help unravel the mystery aboard the vessel.

Over the course of the night, guests will navigate the ship to solve riddles, investigate clues and interact with more than a dozen characters. A live band and cash bar will cap off the experience, but those who opt for VIP will also receive early access, drink tickets, additional clues, a private toast with the captain and secret experiences.

Set for Oct. 10 and 11, the event encourages guests to dress in 1920s-inspired attire for the full experience. Tickets start around $70.
