Hurricane Sandy road restrictions in Pennsylvania expanded (UPDATED)

UPDATE: The Delaware River Port Authority is prohibiting truck traffic on all DRPA bridges (Commodore Barry, Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges) as of 2 p.m. The ban also applies to motorcycles, campers, buses and all vehicles prone to instability at high winds. Passenger cars will allowed to continue crossing the bridges until further notice.Due the storm gust winds associated with Hurricane Sandy, PennDOT has enacted temporary speed limit reductions on highways across the commonwealth. Motorists on the following roads may not exceed 45 miles per hour:Interstate 76 in Philadelphia and Montgomery countiesInterstate 95 in Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware countiesInterstate 476 in Delaware and Montgomery countiesInterstate 676 in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery countiesU.S. Route 1 Extension in PhiladelphiaU.S. Route 1 in Bucks, Philadelphia, Delaware and Chester countiesU.S. Route 30 Bypass in Chester CountyRoute 63 (Woodhaven Expressway) in PhiladelphiaU.S. Route 202 in Chester CountyRoute 309 in Bucks and Montgomery countiesU.S. Route 422 in Montgomery CountyRoute 611 Bypass in Chester CountyThe following roads have such restrictions beginning at 12:30 p.m.:Interstate 81 from the New York state to Maryland state borderInterstates 78, 83, 84, 380, 176, and 76Interstate 283 and Route 283Interstate 80 east of Interstate 81Pennsylvania Turnpike from New Jersey to Carlisle and the Northeast ExtensionRoute 581U.S. Routes 15, 30, 22/322, and 33Additionally, the following vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the speed-restricted roadways:Class 9 vehicles (overweight and over-dimensional trucksEmpty straight trucksLarge combination vehiclesTractors hauling empty trailersTrailers pulled by passenger vehiclesMotorcycles and Recreational Vehicles (RVs)At this point, no state roadways have been closed.
