The Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback sits in 5th place in the Madden 24 rankings, ahead of Justin Herbert and behind Lamar Jackson.

Jalen Hurts is set to sign one of the richest deals in NFL history, agreeing to a five-year, $255 million extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, including $179.3 million guaranteed, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. The Eagles announced on Monday, April 17, “QB1 is here to stay,” but terms were not yet announced, according to the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal was not yet final. Whether you agree or disagree with his rating, it’s definitely a lot kinder than the rating of 74 he was given last year which had him as the 24th best quarterback in the league. That’s Chris Simms level disrespect.

Seeing Hurts get his flowers as a top-10 QB is great, but one could argue he should be rated higher than Lamar Jackson. He’s younger in his career and while Lamar of course won the MVP just a couple of years ago, Hurts is tracking a near-identical trajectory and is coming off of a Super Bowl berth.

One thing is for sure - everyone will want Jalen Hurts in their MUT lineups this year and he'd be the prime target for anyone wanting to rebuild a franchise in single-player modes.
