Jim's Steaks loses co-owner, now robbed

Posted

Less than a week after the death of one of Jim's Steak's owners, William Proetto, more tragedy struck the restaurant yesterday evening. While leaving the building around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, a manager turned down Leithgow Street, only to be knocked down by an unidentified assailant.Although unarmed, the assailant was able to make off with the store's proceeds of the day, around $30,000. Luckily the manager was not injured, but with Proetto's memorial this Wednesday, it has not been a good week for Jim's Steaks. No suspects have been identified yet and Metro is hoping to talk with the detective handling the case later this afternoon.
