Joel Embiid has been upgraded to questionable ahead of the Sixers’ Game 3 matchup against the Boston Celtics, the team's injury report revealed Thursday evening.
Embiid is exactly two weeks removed from his emergency appendectomy. Earlier in the day, it was revealed that he was a partial participant in the team’s Thursday practice, which head coach Nick Nurse described as more of a film day with lighter on-court work. A Sixers official confirmed that Embiid participated in at least a portion of that on-court work.
Having already stolen home court advantage, the Sixers are now looking to gain a significant advantage in their first-round playoff matchup against the Celtics. Having already stolen home court advantage, Philadelphia will attempt to take another step closer to extending the series long enough to at least give Embiid the opportunity to return.
