The Katika Festival is back in Philadelphia for its second year, bringing a vibrant, family-friendly celebration to uCity Square. The free event, set to draw more than 600 attendees, highlights Black-owned businesses and fosters community through food, music, and shared experiences.
Provided / KatikaOn Saturday, July 12, more than 50 local food trucks and retail vendors will set up shop, offering everything from handcrafted goods to culinary delights. The festival will also feature a full slate of entertainment, including live gospel, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop performances, as well as a DJ battle featuring three DJs from across the tri-state area.
Additional highlights include a magic show for children, a Double Dutch jump rope competition hosted by Philly Girls Jump, and on-site voter registration.
