When it was revealed that the Eagles had parted ways with Kevin Patullo, it was also assumed that he would remain with the team. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, that will no longer be the case, with Patullo set to join Miami as their pass-game coordinator.
Whether the Eagles seek to hire a new pass-game coordinator or go it alone with Sean Mannion and Nick Sirianni remains to be seen, but Patullo is fully out of the organization following a turbulent 2025 campaign that saw him draw criticism at every turn.
Over the course of the 2025 campaign, Philadelphia ranked 24th in plays per drive, 25th in yards per drive, and 21st in points per drive - worrying numbers for an offense filled with stars. It is worth noting that Philadelphia also led the league in redzone efficiency, with a 70.45% TD rate. Miami, conversely languished ranking 19th. Perhaps that played a role in the hire.
Garafolo also noted that Patullo spoke to several teams about assistant coaching roles. So while retaining him may have been the plan, he was clearly given the green light to seek an external opportunity.
It will be intriguing to see how Patullo fares away from Philadelphia. How many of the offensive woes were truly down to him, and how many to Nick Sirianni? We may not get our answer for a while, but the Eagles will have a clean slate for their offense in 2026.
