LeBron James will miss tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks after being downgraded to out for the first game of the Sixers' weekend back-to-back.

According to the team's official injury report, James (low back/sciatica) will be sidelined as Philadelphia begins its first back-to-back of the 2026-27 season.

After starting the season with thrilling wins over the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia will attempt to continue its perfect start, even without James.

Given the Bucks' 0-2 start after trading Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, the Sixers could still enter this game with confidence but would be wise not to overlook their opponent.

How the Sixers will manage James' availability during back-to-back games has been a topic of discussion as the team looks to keep its veterans fresh throughout the 82-game season.

Joel Embiid has notably sat out at least one game of back-to-backs consistently in recent seasons. Logic would suggest that James' situation could be somewhat similar throughout the year.

As for Embiid, he currently has no designation on the team's injury report, suggesting he will play barring any last-minute changes.
