Man dies two weeks after Northeast Philly assault, police say

Detectives are looking into the murder of 54-year-old Kevin Fahey.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was attacked more than two weeks ago in Northeast Philadelphia, authorities said Monday.

Medics took 54-year-old Kevin Fahey to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 17, after he was assaulted on the 9300 block of Annapolis Road, according to police. Officers came to the hospital and took a police report Jan. 23.

Fahey remained hospitalized in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, Jan. 31, law enforcement officials said. The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide the next day, authorities added.

The PPD said they do not have a description of the suspect, and investigators have not commented on a possible motive.
