Authorities said a 29-year-old man was seriously injured after he was shot inside a Fairhill bar early Monday morning, hours after the Super Bowl ended.
The victim was involved in an altercation with two unidentified men inside Three Elements, a bar located at 2nd and Cumberland streets, according to investigators. Both suspects pulled out guns, and one opened fire at around 1:45 a.m., hitting the man multiple times, police said.
By the time officers got to the scene, someone had taken the victim to Episcopal Hospital; he was later transferred to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, law enforcement officials said.
No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the PPD tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
