Emmanuel O. Iheukwumere, president and managing shareholder of Emmanuel Law Firm LLC, has built his legal career around advocacy, academic achievement and a commitment to serving those who may not otherwise have a voice.
Iheukwumere graduated summa cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania before earning his juris doctorate from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he received the Bertram K. Wolf Award. He later completed a certificate in conflict resolution from Cornell University and a certificate in financial analysis and valuation for lawyers from Harvard University.
Before founding Emmanuel Law Firm LLC, Iheukwumere practiced with two Philadelphia-area firms representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation, including medical malpractice, employment and personal injury matters. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Ricardo C. Jackson of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Over the years, he has been selected to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel’s Top 1% of attorneys nationwide annually since 2015 and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer multiple times.
Iheukwumere also spent more than a decade as an adjunct professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law, teaching drug products liability and examining FDA procedures, medical malpractice litigation and related legal theory.
His academic work includes numerous published law review/law journal articles addressing subjects including civil rights, judicial independence and medical negligence.
At his firm, Iheukwumere personally reviews every intake, regardless of the facts, to ensure potential cases align with the firm’s core values. The practice focuses on representing victims of medical and hospital malpractice, as well as individuals and families affected by serious or catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death.
Outside of his legal work, Iheukwumere makes recurring monthly contributions to several nonprofit organizations that support vulnerable populations and advocate for justice, reflecting his belief in helping amplify the voices of those who might otherwise go unheard.
