There's no rest at the end of the summer for MLS teams. All 30 feature in a Wednesday slate of matches; some are juicy matchups between conference favorites, and some have the potential for upsets.

The night kicks off with SEVEN matches at the 7:30 pm timeslot. All 14 teams in this timeslot are from the Eastern Conference, and three matchups stick out. First is FC Cincinnati vs NYCFC; both have been elite but are hovering in the low-end playoff spots right now. Next is a matchup between Supporters' Shield leaders Nashville SC and eighth-place New York Red Bulls; can Nashville keep their lead over the rest of MLS, or will Red Bulls pull off a shock upset?

Of course, the Philadelphia Union are in action, hosting Inter Miami. Can the Union get their fifth straight win in MLS against the team currently in second in the whole league? If they can, they'll move closer to the playoff line. Union fans will be hoping this happens and also tracking other matches to see if their team can move up closer to that red line!

Five games kick off between 8 and 9:30 pm; the headliner is Real Salt Lake vs. FC Dallas. Both teams are pushing for the top four in the West, and a win would be a huge boost toward that goal. Dallas has golden boot leader Petar Musa firing on all cylinders and will need him to lead their line on the road at Salt Lake.

Finally, three matches make up the mid-week nightcap, beginning at 10:30 pm ET. There is a California Clasico in there with LA Galaxy taking on San Jose Earthquakes. Still, the marquee matchup is a clash between the top two teams in the West, Vancouver Whitecaps and Houston Dynamo. Can Houston win their fifth straight, or will Vancouver keep their hold on first while also having a game in hand? Tune in to Apple TV tonight to catch all of the action!
