A middle-aged man was killed and three others were hospitalized following an apparent shootout early Monday morning inside a North Philadelphia home.
Officers responded at around 4:15 a.m. to a property on the 1700 block of N. Croskey Street, and they found four men with gunshot wounds, according to police.
The deceased victim, believed to be in his 50s, had been shot in the head, and medics declared him dead at the scene, authorities said. He has not been publicly identified.
A 48-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso area, and a 46-year-old man had been shot twice in his stomach, investigators said. Both men were listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital but are expected to survive, according to the PPD.
The fourth man, age 54, was shot in his shoulder and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police added.
Two guns were recovered at the house, and law enforcement officials have not commented on a possible motive. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the PPD tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
