An officer is injured after being hit by a drunk driver in North Philadelphia.Theincident happened at 8:20 p.m. on the 2100 block of West Lehigh Avenue.A patrol officer was driving westbound on Lehigh on his way to an alarm.A woman, 44, driving a gray Dodge Stratus eastbound on Lehigh madea sharp left trying to get into a parking lot and instead slammed into thepatrol car, hitting the driver's side door.The police officer was rushed to Temple University Hospital withhead, neck, back and knee pain and is listed in stable condition. It isunknown if he will be admitted.The woman was arrested and will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.
