According to Ari Alexander of 7 News, former Phillie Weston Wilson has been claimed by the Baltimore Orioles.
Wilson was designated for assignment following the re-signing of J.T Realmuto, and it didn't take long for the Orioles to take a swing on the 31 year old.
The versatile veteran played in 100 total games for the Phillies during his tenure, amassing a .242 average and scoring a career-high 17 RBI and 5 home runs during the 2025 season.
Losing a player who can slot in just about anywhere on the field is certainly not optimal, with Wilson often being a golden bench option to have on the roster.
As the offseason continues, it will be interesting to see how the Phillies look to fill that void.
