Plan Like a Pro: How to make the most of the Flyers Carnival

Posted

It’s a brisk February day, but that’s not stopping you — you’ve got a carnival to attend! And lucky for you, I’m your personal planner for the day to make sure you have the most magical, hockey-filled adventure possible.

Doors for the Flyers Charities Carnival open at 10:30 a.m., which means you need to rise and shine early! Grab your favorite cozy sweater (bonus points if it’s orange and black), and get ready to head over to Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Pro tip: aim to arrive about 30 minutes before doors open so you can be one of the first inside. That way, you’ll have time to take in all the decorations, snap a few photos, and still make it to your first big event — a Sign & Snap with Travis Konecny from 11–12!

If you’re near the front of the line, you might wrap up early enough to sneak in a couple of extra activities before your next meet-and-greet. Speaking of activities… there’s a ton to do this year! I might be a bit biased (since I’ll be in the dunk tank), but this year’s addition of axe throwing is going to be a fan favorite.

Oh, and whatever you do — don’t skip the locker room tour. The Flyers’ brand-new locker room is state of the art and gives you an exclusive peek at where the players hang out on game day. Totally worth it for any hockey fan.

After a little axe throwing, a locker room tour, and maybe stopping by to dunk me (be nice, though), it’s time for your next Sign & Snap — this time with Travis Sanheim from 2–3 p.m. Congratulations! You’ve officially met both Travises on the Flyers roster.

Now that your autographs are secured, it’s time to enjoy the rest of the carnival! Hit the floor for some old-school carnival games, test your aim at darts, or pop into the free photobooth to capture your best Flyers Carnival memories.

I’ll see you there — and remember, every dollar raised goes straight to charity. So while you’re having fun, you’re also doing good for the community.

Mark your calendar: On Monday, November 10, the first round of Sign & Snap sessions will be released. Don’t miss your chance to grab a spot!
