Report: Cornerback Ronald Darby may not need surgery on dislocated ankle

Posted

The Eagles were able to finally overthrow the Redskins on Sunday, but it wasn't without bumps along the way. One of the biggest and most concerning was the non-contact injury to Ronald Darby. According to Ian Rapoport, X-rays were negative which is a very promising sign, but there's still further examinations to be carried out.

In a best case scenario, Darby may only miss a several weeks of action before he's allowed to return.

Darby was the team's starting corner and had a very impressive first outing for the Eagles before he lost his footing when covering Jordan Reed.

It's unclear just how long Darby will be sidelined, but having only kept three corners active today, there will be some tough decisions to make.
