After 13 seasons, Roy Halladay finally made his major-league debut in his hometown. He’s still looking for his first win there. Halladay, who grew up in Denver, took a 3-1 lead into the seventh but only earned a no-decision after Brad Hawpe tripled to tie it and eventually send it to extra innings. The Phillies lost 4-3 in the 10th inning.“He was having trouble gripping the ball,” Phils skipper Charlie Manuel said. “The ball was taking off on him. He was battling, but it was cold.”Halladay (6-1, 1.59 ERA) surrendered three runs — two earned — on 10 hits in 61/3 innings. Phils reliever Chad Durbin gave up a lead-off homer to Miguel Olivo in the 10th.
