The Philadelphia 76ers have been named the recipients of the NBA's 2025-26 Team Social Impact & Inclusion Award for their work supporting local businesses and community initiatives through their partnership with Bank of America, the NBA announced Tuesday.
Each year, the NBA presents awards recognizing teams for creativity, innovation and excellence in their community partnerships.
In announcing the award, the NBA cited the Sixers' year-round partnership with Bank of America, which supported local entrepreneurs and extended into the community through youth clinics, financial literacy workshops and equipment donations.
The league also highlighted the 76ers Spirit of Small Business and the Enrich programs, which connected small businesses with new audiences, resources and long-term opportunities for growth.
The 76ers Spirit of Small Business is designed to help raise awareness of small businesses and local entrepreneurs across Greater Philadelphia. Through the program, the team provides participating businesses with a fully integrated marketing campaign across 76ers-owned digital and social platforms at no cost.
Last fall, the program kicked off during Small Business Saturday as part of the city's Christmas Village celebration at LOVE Park.
The Sixers also launched the Enrich program, which provides marketing support and resources to business owners who have faced barriers to growth in historically underserved communities. The program annually awards a local business a marketing campaign and support from the team to help fuel its growth.
"Together, the Philadelphia 76ers and Bank of America, we’re creating a platform where ambition becomes growth." Sixers Chief Corporate Affairs Officer David Gould said earlier this year. "Small and local businesses remain the backbone of our communities, and we are proud to bring a spotlight and empower emerging businesses in this region.
In addition to the local business receiving the annual award, two additional businesses each received cash awards of $10,000 to support their growth and development. This year's new Enrich partner will be announced ahead of the start of the 2026-27 season.
