Following their final preseason game, the Philadelphia 76ers made several roster moves on Saturday. The team requested waivers on four players, including Marjon Beauchamp, Malcolm Hill, Kennedy Chandler, and Saint Thomas. In a separate move, the Sixers signed and subsequently waived former Memphis Tiger DeAndre Williams.
Williams signed an Exhibit 10—a deal which provides a player with a financial incentive to remain with their team's G League affiliate if waived. This is the same type of contract signed by Beauchamp, Hill, Chandler, and Thomas.
All five players who were waived are expected to join the Delaware Blue Coats roster for the 2025-2026 season, a team source told Philly Sports Network.
Malcolm Hill, Kennedy Chandler and Saint Thomas each appeared in at least one preseason game for the Sixers this season, with Hill and Chandler each showing flashes. Beauchamp, a former first-round pick out of the NBA G League Ignite, was initially signed on October 14, but did not make an appearance for the Sixers this preseason. DeAndre Williams' time with the team was even shorter, as he was signed and waived on the same day.
While each of these players has had wildly different paths to the NBA, they can all provide value to the Delaware Blue Coats this upcoming season. Forward Malcolm Hill and guard Kennedy Chandler each had some impressive showings in the preseason, with the latter averaging 10.3 points and 3.5 assists per night in his four appearances and the former shooting an impressive 45.5% from three.
The Sixers will start their regular season play with 14 players on standard NBA deals. For the season opener, the Sixers will be traveling to Boston to play the Celtics on Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
