The game itself is a big one. Belgium has long been a side that has struggled to live up to potential, but remains Pocchetino's toughest test as the USMNT's manager. With the weight of an entire Nation on their shoulders, the Stars & Stripes will go into this game with a pleasant advantage. Folarin Balogun, who endured a questionable Red Card decision in the win over Bosnia, is eligible to play following a stunning twist of events.

Balogun's challenge was controversial due to the red card feeling very unneccesary, and it looks as though the young starlet will be back in the lineup on Monday night. He's easily been the USMNT's strongest asset this tournament, scoring 3 goals in as many games so far.

The better news is that Belgium simply hasn't been up to scratch. An aging core of players leave the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne needing to roll back the years in order to get a result, something the team struggled to do in their Round of 32 clash against Senegal, with the team leaking two goals and requiring a Youri Tielemans masterclass in extra time to avoid a shootout.

With homefield advantage, the US might just have the overall upper-hand here. A team high on confidence and beginning to believe after several Giants crashed out of the opening knockout stage. Belgium will be a difficult test, but one this team is more than equipped to handle, having only allowed 3 goals this tournament - 2 of which came in a meaningless game against Turkey. Pocchetino's focus on defense has really provided a stable foundation for the likes of Balogun and Pulisic to thrive in. The only question now is, just how high is that ceiling?
