VIDEO: Man wanted for punching Fairmount woman

Philly police were seeking a man who they said ran up to a woman and smacked her in the face last week, leaving her with a laceration.Police said Tuesday they had no information about a motive or what led to the crime.According to the police report, the victim, a 51-year-old female, was walking on the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue —a dark, secluded street that borders the Fairmount neighborhood and is adjacent to subterranean railroad tracks — when the attack occurred on Nov. 4 around 4:05p.m.Related link: Fairmount Park double slay was crime of passion: cops"She was approached by an unknown black male who punched her causing a severe laceration over her eye," police said. "After the assault the suspect fled and was last seen west on Pennsylvania Avenue."Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect walking on Pennsylvania Avenue.
