If the season started today (and thank God it doesn't), the Eagles starting 11 on both sides of the ball would have some pretty glaring holes. Rather than breaking down the positions of need one by one, here's a look at where the depth chart stands, at this moment, right now. With Todd Herremans, Trent Cole, Cary Williams and others cut, no contract (yet) for Jeremy Maclin or Brandon Graham, and Tuesday's blockbuster trade of LeSean McCoy, this is what we are left with.Notice a few particular weak spots in the defensive backfield, outside linebacker and wide receiver. The Birds also need an offensive lineman to replace Herremans, a running back to replace McCoy, and a d-lineman to replace Cole. Boy, that's a lot isn't it?Lets hope the holes get filled -- and soon.Defensive backs:LCB: Nolan Carroll (1 start in 2014)SS: Earl Wolfe (spend most of 2014 on IR)FS: Malcom JenkinsRCB: Brandon BoykinLinebackers:LOLB: Malcom Smith (zero career tackles)RILB: MychaelKendricksLILB: KikoAlonsoROLB: Connor BarwinDefensive line:LDE: Vinny Curry (out of position)NT: Bennie LoganRDE: Fletcher CoxQuarterback:Nick Foles (with no backup)Running backs:Darren SprolesChris PolkWide receivers:Jordan MatthewsRiley CooperTight ends:Zach ErtzBrent CelekOffensive line:LT: Jason PetersLG: Evan Mathis:C: Jason KelceRG: Allen BarbreRT: Lane Johnson
