Philadelphia’s Winterfest just got a spirited upgrade. Après Sip & Skate presented by Jacquin’s is bringing 21+ skate nights to the Delaware River Waterfront, blending ice, music, and cocktails into one evening.
After the popular debut of Jacquin’s Porch Bar this year at the seasonal venue, this fresh series invites adults to lace up their skates, sip curated drinks, and dance along to live DJ beats on select Wednesdays in January and February.
“Après Sip & Skate brings together two long-standing Philadelphia traditions in a way that feels fun, social, and true to the city,” says Erika Joy Erb, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation. “Winterfest is powered by local partnerships and our collaboration with Jacquin’s allows us to celebrate that local spirit while offering adults a new way to enjoy a winter wonderland in a private, adults-only setting on the Waterfront.”
Designed for guests 21 and over, Après Sip & Skate offers private rink access from the Rinkside Lounge at Winterfest paired with an open bar with curated Jacquin’s cocktails, fireside lounges, s’mores, and live entertainment. Dates this season include Jan. 14 and 28, and Feb. 11 and 25.
Tickets (available via showclix.com) come out to be $35 per person and include a 3-hour open bar, local beers, wine, and complimentary s’mores. Skate admission passes and skate rentals are sold separately.
Otherwise, Winterfest admission is free with pay-as-you-go amenities. Some favorites returning to the venue this year include a Ferris wheel, indoor arcade, and seasonal games. Skating tickets, cabins, firepits, or Rinkside Lounge packages are also available to reserve for any gathering. As a release notes, skate admission is $5, and skate rental is $12.
The rinkside Lodge at Winterfest will also keep guests satisfied with options like hot chocolate, spirited cocktails, and local brews. Otherwise, on-site food and beverage partners include Chickie’s & Pete’s, Skelly’s Amusements, Skelly’s Pizza Port and Philly Taco on top of Jaquin’s. Overall, the menu throughout the venue features bites like Crabfries, birria tacos, pizza, cheesesteaks, pretzels, and more.
